May 31: Catch OCPP on HBO in American Winter

The award-winning documentary American Winter, featuring commentary from OCPP, begins airing on HBO GO on May 31.

June

June 7, Florence: "A Growing Economy, Increasing Inequality, and Rising Poverty"

The City Club of Florence will host a talk by OCPP policy analyst Jason Gettel. The talk will examine the state of Oregon’s economy, income inequality and how our state can advance economic opportunity. The talk begins at noon. Location: Ocean Dunes Golf Links, 3345 Munsel Lake Road.

June 13, Salem: American Winter, Filmmaker Harry Gantz, Journalist David Cay Johnston and OCPP's Chuck Sheketoff

The Salem Progressive Film Series will show American Winter on June 13. Following the showing, the film's co-producer and director, Harry Gantz, will join a panel discussion with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author David Cay Johnson and OCPP executive director Chuck Sheketoff. The will discuss what's happening to the middle class and the need for a vibrant safety net.
