Legacy Giving

A bequest is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. Leaving a legacy gift by including Oregon Center for Public Policy in your will or estate plans honors your commitment to making Oregon’s future more equitable. Your gift will allow the Center to continue to pave the way for policies that expand economic opportunity and social justice.

To ensure that your estate plans meet your long-term income and family needs, be sure to consult with your attorney or financial advisor.

Sample Bequest language Making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can guarantee that your legacy endures. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate or the remainder after all other provisions are specified. Below is suggested language to take to your attorney for use in drafting your bequest.

“I give to Oregon Center for Public Policy, an Oregon nonprofit corporation with its offices at 6420 S Macadam, Suite 200, Portland, OR, 97239-0127, or its successor thereto, ___ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

If you have named Oregon Center for Public Policy in your will or trust, please let us know so we can ensure that your gift is used according to your wishes. Notifying us of your plans will enable us to plan for the use of your future gift. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will keep your name and gift in strict confidence.

Please contact Roger Williams-Thomas at 503-810-5662 or rwilliamsthomas@ocpp.org for more information.

Thank you for ensuring that the Center can continue our important work well into the future.
